The function and setting method of road marking directional arrows

The directional arrow is used to indicate the direction of the vehicle's travel.

In intersections or road sections where the direction of travel is restricted, in the reduced lanes of road sections where the number of lanes is reduced, at intersections or road sections with dedicated lanes, at deformed and complex intersections, directional arrows should be set up in the channelized lanes. The color of the directional arrow is white and can be set according to the actual lane guidance needs. When used in combination, it should not exceed two directions.

Except for turning vehicles, the direction of travel of other vehicles should follow the direction indicated by the directional arrows. Motor vehicles are not allowed to make U-turns at locations where there are no signs or markings prohibiting U-turns or left turns, as well as at railway crossings, pedestrian crossings, bridges, sharp turns, steep slopes, tunnels, or other dangerous road sections. They may make U-turns at locations where there are no signs or markings prohibiting U-turns or left turns and road conditions permit, but they must not obstruct the passage of other vehicles and pedestrians driving normally.
